The Symbolism of the Bull, TAURUS, and Bull fighting

The Bull has very different symbolism to the Cow. The Cow takes on much of the Symbolism of the Great Mother and the Bull that of the Father, but as one would expect a Father archetype of a quite distinct nature.
In much the same way that Norse gods had the boar, other shamanic cultures used the bull. But all these male archetypes – Bulls, Rams, Boars and Stags had one thing in common. They all had two, sometimes more, HORNS. The symbol of complete spiritual connection.

A FRESH START, AND A NEW DIRECTION
1) It is very clear that the NEED for spiritual connectivity is built into us. And man, with his ingenuity, will always find a way of circumventing rules and inventing new, ever more dangerous, methods
2) Whilst those already meek and gentle, the lambs and the sheep, the cows and calves, can use the ‘suppression’ activities on our site [again see the navigation videos], men will be men, and bull- ish men will always be bull- ish or ram-ish or stag-ish or boar-ish or…..
3) And they need overload activities. Ones that do heighten emotion but do so positively. So here are some suggestions

Bungee jumping simply mimics accidental falls, as do all the sports that involve hang gliding, parachuting, extreme skiing, …..

Befuddling is a somewhat unique activity that stops the reasoning system in its attempts to prevent what it may view as unwise activity

Extreme and violent weather chasing – produces extreme fear and elation

Surfing on ever larger waves – produces extreme fear and elation

Absolutely frenetic, over the top exercise – including dancing, running , cycling, swimming etc

Climbing high mountains – combines cold, fear and lack of oxygen most successfully

Going on a big dipper or similar rides – which induces fear

Punching punch bags – which channels aggression and anger

Raves and ‘pop’ concerts and other forms of sensory overload – overload of the senses has the same effect as sensory deprivation after a while

Scary films – which induce fear

Survival tests in extremely inhospitable surroundings

Ritual humiliation eg the stocks

Total isolation, lack of company and no speaking [as offered by some retreats]

Making love for hours and hours and hours – but only if you are a white bull
