Hwy929: iRacing | Global MX5 Cup | Rudskogen - Norway | (2024-S02-W11)

I needed a break from racing in the rain in the FF1600 series. So decided to race the Miata MX5 for a change. I just did a custom livery on it and that got me even more motivated.
I hadn't raced this track before, and haven't raced the Miata in about a year. Add that this was a rookie series and I didn't have high hopes. I assumed I'd get taken out on the first couple laps.
First Qualifier lap was ok and the second lap I turned it up but got a off-track which invalidated that lap. Qualified in P3.
Defensive driving and letting others take each other out worked well and I went from P3 to P1 until a lapped driver got involved and caused mayhem for myself and my competition and I ended with P2.
It was a fun race. Driving on a dry track was a welcome change.
