The Perfect Fiery Breakfast Eggs | Shakshuka with special guest
"If you have to google ""How to make Shakshuka"" you're probably in the right place. I take you by the hand and show you baby steps, we go through Eggs in Purgatory and Huevos a la Flamanca (dang you old man memory!) And then I show you how to make it obscenely good and control your heat level.
If you want hot that blows your top- add cayenne. If you're normal and want something you can share with fellow human beings, use Berbere. That's the secret no one tells you about- because I just made it up. It's aromatic, fragrant, and gives you just enough heat to remember this dish commands attention, but it's low enough that won't blow out your palette.
It's a mature person's Shakshuka: made by a man fighting a toddler for control of his kitchen.

Recipe:
1 onion diced julienne
2 Chicken Sausages
3-4 cloves of garlic
1 green onion- whites for sauce, greens for garnish.
Olive oil
8-10 small sweet bell peppers
3-4 Campari tomatoes
1 tsp whole Cumin 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
1 28oz Can of Crushed tomatoes
1tbsp Berbere- with more to taste
1 Tsp Red pepper flakes
Basil leaves
5-6 eggs.
