Dear Pastor Bob: What qualifies as true worship music according to the Bible? It seems that worship music has almost become a genre in itself. Some Christians say that in order for something to be considered worship music, it must contain little to no entertainment value. In other words, the sound of the music should not resemble popular rock music in any way, or else it falls under the entertainment category, and not worship music. They say Christian music should sound different than what you hear on the radio or in concert. Personally, I can worship God through any kind of music, not just the kinds of songs you sing in Church. For example, many Stryper songs are just as worshipful as a hymn. But some would say otherwise.
