Furthermore, the analysts point out that Mr. Raisi's passing could destabilize Iran's impending struggle by eliminating one of the two front-runners for Mr. Khamenei's position.
According to the article, Mother Nature might be to blame. But in Iranian politics, "nothing is ever as it seems," and "many Iranians have begun to speculate about more nefarious explanations."
