Supporters of President Joe Biden appear to be taking steps to remove a viral parody music video that highlights Biden's cognitive decline. The video, a parody of Tom Petty’s hit song “Free Fallin’,” was posted by former President Donald Trump on Truth Social last Friday. Titled "Keeps Falling," the parody mocks Biden's numerous gaffes, showing him stumbling up the steps of Air Force One, wandering aimlessly, and awkwardly sniffing women and children.

By Sunday, the video had been taken down across the X platform (formerly Twitter), with a disclaimer stating, "This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner."

The viral video was created by comedian and Fox News Saturday Night host Jimmy Failla as part of his album “The More You Joe,” produced by “C’Mon Man Records.” Given Failla's enthusiasm for sharing the video, it is unlikely that he initiated the copyright complaint. This raises the question: who ordered the takedown of the politically damaging video against Biden?

It remains unclear whether the Democratic Party or perhaps representatives of Tom Petty were behind the copyright strike. The claim is particularly interesting because parody videos typically fall under fair use exceptions, allowing copyrighted materials to be used without permission for purposes of commentary or criticism.

The “Keeps Falling” song features humorous lyrics that take aim at Biden’s perceived shortcomings:

"He’s an old guy
has dementia,
can’t lead us.
And the country is screwed.
Tells some big lies,
barely speaks English,
sniffs children,
and their mom’s hair, too,
Goes the wrong way.
When he leaves his speeches,
Gets lost each day.
In the White House yard,
All the Dems say
that we should reelect him.
How can he win?
When walking is hard?
And Joe Keeps, (keeps falling yeah he keeps falling)
Keeps falling (keeps falling yeah he keeps falling)
And Joe keeps (keeps falling yeah he keeps falling)
Keeps falling (keeps falling yeah he keeps falling)"

Despite efforts to remove the video, its viral nature ensures it won't be completely censored, as some versions can still be viewed on X and Truth Social.

This controversy comes amid recent polls showing Biden losing support among young people, Black voters, and Hispanics across all age groups. Trump is currently leading the 81-year-old president in five of six swing states, underscoring the contentious nature of the upcoming election.
