Chants of ‘intifada revolution’ at London protest

Pro-Palestinian demonstrators in London chanted slogans such as “Intifada revolution” and “UK government watch your back, Palestine is coming back” amid heightened tensions over the Middle East conflict.

The Metropolitan Police arrested a man for leading a chant after climbing a traffic light, citing a racially aggravated public order offence and criminal damage.

The protesters, showing solidarity with Gaza, marched through the city centre with Palestinian flags and banners, calling for a ceasefire in the prolonged seven-month conflict.

The march began at the BBC’s London headquarters and was rerouted to avoid clashes with counter-protesters, following police engagement with the organizers.

Organized by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the march also commemorated the 76th anniversary of the Nakba, the 1948 mass displacement of Palestinians, the Daily Mail has reported.
