Are dog boots, raincoats and other rain “gear” essential for our pets’ survival or just more of a fashion statement for their owners? Trends show that more people are buying gear for their pets. For owners, rain boots give the most welcome outcome - reducing the mess brought indoors - after coming home from walking through that muddy, puddle-filled outdoor terrain, whether it be city or country. Another advantage for pet owners is the elimination of the dreaded “icky paw smell.”

A trend that’s on the rise right now is finding some of the best dog booties to protect canine’s paws from snow, ice, heat, cold and salt. Many pet owners have chosen to go full-time with using dog walking boots daily, and surprisingly their pets don’t seem to mind. Not all pets, however.

Sprocket is a type of a dog that doesn’t want to be trapped in fashionable doggy boots. He wants to sprint freely around and hates being dragged down. Especially when he needs to check on his tiny shoes regularly. These shoes are an unwanted trouble and a real nuisance. OK, they may not slow him down, but he definitely feels uncomfortable dashing in those weird things that look like tiny pockets. Once in a while, Sprocket stops his exciting race, sniffs at them and tries to rip them off, but to no avail. No matter how hard he tries to outrun his rain boots, he just can’t shake them off and it is what makes this footage hilarious. Run Sprocket, run and you might find a way to get rid of those pests!
