Pentecost: Roar From Zion

Thank you everyone who helped to make our Not Ashamed Praise Rally a very powerful night! We entered into spiritual warfare releasing praises to God, which shattered the darkness, opened the heavens and God’s love poured down over us. We decreed: God is shaking earth and heaven, which will cause Babylon to fall and put our enemy under our feet! God will contend with those who contend with us and He will save our children! Everyone was anointed to become “One family in Christ” as His glory and love radiates through us!

Happy birthday Brothers and Sisters! Today is the Christian Pentecost, the birth of Christianity. Just as the start of the Jewish nation was the Jewish Pentecost at Mount Sinai when God gave Moses the Ten Commandments and spoke to His children, the Christian Pentecost was the birth of the Christian Church as the Holy Spirit descended from Heaven and put the Word of God into our hearts with tongues of fire. Just as the Jews gathered to Mount Sinai, Christians gather to Mount Zion. When we gather together, we join with the “general assembly of angels and believers in heaven.”

Heb 12:18-19 For you have not come to the mountain (Mount Sinai) that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest, 19 and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, so that those who heard it begged that the word should not be spoken to them anymore.

Heb 12:22-24 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

Hear the Heavenly Voice: The Roar of God! The Earth is about to hear “shouts in the Heavens; the roar of God!”

25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, 26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven." 27 Now this, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire.

“Refusing Him who speaks” is refusing to receive the prophetic Word of God. The prophecy of “The Shaking.”

Hag 2:6-10 "For thus says the Lord of hosts: 'Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; 7 and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,' says the Lord of hosts. 8 'The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the Lord of hosts. 9 'The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,' says the Lord of hosts. 'And in this place I will give peace,' says the Lord of hosts."

Hag 2:20-23 And again the word of the Lord came to Haggai on the twenty-fourth day of the month, saying, 21 "Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying: 'I will shake heaven and earth. 22 I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms;
I will destroy the strength of the Gentile kingdoms. I will overthrow the chariots And those who ride in them; The horses and their riders shall come down, Every one by the sword of his brother. 23 'In that day,' says the Lord of hosts, 'I will take you, Zerubbabel My servant, the son of Shealtiel,' says the Lord, 'and will make you like a signet ring; for I have chosen you,' says the Lord of hosts."

God choose to use Zerubbabel the Governor as His signet ring (mark of authority), not Joshua, Haggai or Zechariah (the prophets and the priests), but a man in government.

Acts 2:1-5 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Divided tongues sat upon each of them and they began to speak with the Spirit of God. Immediately they were mocked (Acts 2:13). There has always been an attack to discredit God’s prophets and the spirit of prophecy.

Acts 2:16-18 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.

Pentecost, the birth of the Church was first spoken as a prophecy. It was spoken by God’s prophet Joel in order to call forth the Kingdom of God. God has partnered with man to have dominion on this earth. Noah, Abraham, Moses, David and Believers all entered into covenant or “contract” with God to partner with Him and have dominion.

Prophesy, see visions, dream dreams; this is all prophetic! The Holy Spirit came to write God’s Words on our heart so we may prophesy! We prophesy God’s Word to “call forth” His Kingdom. We agree with what our Father said. The closer we get to the return of our Lord, the more prophecy will increase culminating in the 2 Prophets, the 2 Witnesses prophesying for 3 ½ years straight. The Book of Revelation is the Prophecy of Jesus Christ.

Rev 10:1-4 I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. 2 He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, 3 and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices.

Rev 10:7 but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.
Prophecies: Strong’s #4394 propheteia (prof-ay-tie-ah); from pro “forth” and phemi “to speak.” The primary use of the word is not predictive in the sense of foretelling, but interpretive, declaring or forth-telling the will and counsel of God. W/W SFLB

Jer 25:30-31 "Therefore prophesy against them all these words, and say to them: 'The Lord will roar from on high,
And utter His voice from His holy habitation; He will roar mightily against His fold. He will give a shout, as those who tread the grapes, Against all the inhabitants of the earth. 31 A noise will come to the ends of the earth — For the Lord has a controversy with the nations; He will plead His case with all flesh. He will give those who are wicked to the sword,' says the Lord."

God will first roar against His fold, His sheep, the ones who are attacking His prophets. From the beginning of Israel and all through the Church age, there has been an attack on God’s prophets and His prophetic Word.

Amos 3:7-8 Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. 8 A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy? Once God speaks to His prophets, they echo what God has said and they speak with great authority as if a lion has roared.

Joel 3:16 The Lord also will roar from Zion, And utter His voice from Jerusalem; The heavens and earth will shake; But the Lord will be a shelter for His people, And the strength of the children of Israel.

Today is Pentecost. Are you filled with His Spirit? Would you like the gift of tongues? Would you like the gift of prophecy? What gift would you like? Fill us Holy Spirit with whatever gift is needed to advance the Kingdom!
