Kung Fu for Trauma & Abuse Recovery, Sound Focus!

Many people who come to me have already tried several therapeutic and healing modalities. There is no “one-way.” There are many methods, and I am thrilled to see the growing body of evidence for:
-Hypnotherapy
-Yoga
-Martial Arts/Kung Fu
-Breathwork

as methods to empower people to heal from domestic violence, abuse, childhood abuse, CSA & trauma.

I guarantee if you were to do this little power, practice a few times a week, you would feel stronger more centered, and like a different person.

“…there are a number of other physical practices that should, in theory provide similar benefits: dance, weightlifting, running, the martial arts, and others (Van der Kolk,2014). * referring to survivors of trauma.
It is possible to heal from #DomesticViolence #ChildhoodAbuse & #CSA

There’s much talk about Somatic therapy, somatic practices and somatic healing. That’s really just therapy speak for relating to the body.

Martial arts is an exceptional practice. When it comes to mind, body, breath, and spirit. I highly recommend and am integrating some of these practises into my work with women recovering from the impacts of domestic violence, childhood abuse, CSA and trauma.

Much more on this throughout the week.
