Luna And The Cats... Impossible Friendship! Part I

Looks like Luna, our dog, will never give up on being friends with her "cat siblings"!
She tries really hard, every day, as soon as she has an opportunity. Maybe if she tried a more subtle approach...
Funny thing is we have three pets and none of them get along.
Nyu is a rescue from Whistler, Canada, male, white, siamese mix and about 7 years old. His name is inspired by the anime Elfen Lied. The main character has a dual personality and the sweet, innocent side of her is called Nyu. The violent, moody side is called Lucy. Netflix TV show Stranger Things is also inspired by Elfen Lied.
Nyu is always hiding from Luna and avoiding her.
It's not easy though. Besides sleeping a lot, sometimes Nyu needs to go to the cat's washroom in the basement and Luna is always paying lots of attention to that.
When Nyu and Luna get close to each other, she is always begging to play and he gets really mad.
Luna respects Nyu, because he stands up for himself.
The first time they met, Luna got a big scratch on her nose.
We introduced the cats to Luna really slowly, but it didn't seem to make any difference.
Now, thankfully, they don't hurt each other.
The gray cat, Mandy, is a rescue from Sao Paulo, Brazil, female, tortoiseshell, about 9 years old. Her name is inspired by Barry Manilow song.
She is always complaining about something, meows a lot, since she was a kitten! When she sees Luna she gets really frustrated and makes the weirdest sounds. It's like she is growling at Luna and sometimes she also hisses at her.
She runs away from Luna.
However, if the cats are still, it's like they aren't even there and Luna usually leaves them alone.
If they are moving, she will be right there and chases them like crazy. Another reason for the cats won't accept her.
All the pets try really hard to avoid each other. When Nyu arrived (Mandy is the "first child"), Mandy was pretty angry and jealous. When Luna arrived, it was like the end of the world. She will never get over it. Maybe that's why she complains even more. She looks at us and starts mowing like her life of sleeping and eating is really hard... 😂🤫
We will never take those pictures of cats and dogs lying side by side or record them licking each other with lots of love... But we are also sure that Luna won't give up! NEVER!Show more
