An elderly Oakland man gets emotional after thugs stole his vintage Corvette just days before his 80th birthday. Oakland is basically a third-world country. Dave Lechthaler says it feels like his heart has been stabbed after thieves stole his 1959 Corvette worth $200,000. Lechthaler blasted the city for being soft on crime as he shared his frustration about losing his car. "There are no consequences in this city. People can steal and rob," he said to KTVU. "'It hurts because my life, my whole life, has been hot rod cars since I was 14 years old."
