HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Cooperative says more than a quarter-million-dollars in damage has been done in the past 12 months by firing gunshots at transformers, regulators and other equipment. The cost also includes power outages caused by the vandalism. Officials say there has been more than a dozen incidents in Clinton, Eaton and Ionia Counties. Anyone with information is asked to contact the co-operative's non-emergency line in their county. You can also call Crime Stoppers of Mid-Michigan.
