Rex was known as the ‘Transparency Warrior’ during his time in the Federal Parliament & has been instrumental in forcing the hand of government officials to give over information to the public that would have otherwise been still held in secrecy.

Rex believes that transparency is a critical element of a representative democracy.

Without transparency citizens cannot properly participate in said democracy

– and the likelihood of corruption or maladministration occurring increases.
