The Three Degrees - Purification

The Spiritual Path can be divided into three – known as the Three Degrees. Purification is the last of the Three Degrees. What does Purification do? It very gradually weakens the hold of the Ego, whilst gently, almost imperceptibly removing all impediments to enlightenment.

A) DESCRIPTION

The Spiritual Path can be divided into Three – the Three Degrees - and Purification is the last degree before the enlightenment stage. Purification aims to remove all impediments to enlightenment and weakens the hold of the Ego
Alchemically it is known as Albedo, whose symbols are the Dove, Snow, and the White Rose. The main tasks are
• To question and doubt all your existing beliefs and
• Expunge your demons - an emotional memory of hurt or hate
Lucid dreaming, hypnotherapy, relaxation and hypnagogia can all be used to track demons down. The methods of expulsion of demons depends on who inflicted them.
• Acts of hurt inflicted on you - can be helped by you forgiving the one who hurt you
• Acts of hurt you have inflicted on others - seek forgiveness of the person you hurt, be humble and admit guilt.
• Acts of hurt which are self inflicted – forgive yourself, but seek to change your behaviour
But never try to suggest courses of action for the person suffering. Comfort them, but they must work out their own solution.
