Heron Communications Logo Compilation
"Heron Communications Logo Compilation" - Made By Hurford2000s Productions on 6/26/2024.
This video will talk about the logos from Heron Communications (1984-93) and the home video companies they owned. Heron Communications was a subsidiary of Heron International, founded by Henry Ronson in 1957, and his son Gerald was the CEO of the company when Heron Communications was established in 1984. Media Home Entertainment, including The Nostalgia Merchant, was bought by Heron Communications in 1984, and together they formed several subsidiaries for home video that would last into the late 1980s. Heron was one of the largest private companies in the United Kingdom at this time, although the CEO got into trouble when his involvement in the Guinness share-trading fraud of the 1980s became known to the public. This incident affected Heron Communications significantly in 1990, because Media Home Entertainment began downsizing its staff and selling off its video assets in the wake of the incident. In September 1993, most of the home video companies owned by Heron Communications went dormant, and Heron International was struggling at this time too. In the mid 1990s, several businessmen gave loans to Heron International that benefited the survival of the company, and the company constructed the Heron Tower in the late 2000s; at 230 m (735 ft) tall, it is the fifth tallest building in the United Kingdom! Heron International is still in operation as of June 2024.
This video is based on the Artisan Entertainment Logo Compilation I made back in November of 2021, almost 3 years ago. (https://drive.google.com/drive/search?q=artisan)
