Here we read of King Hezekiah, the son of an idolatrous king. Unlike his father, he was a great and righteous king, who spent his time restoring the sacred things of God (including the priesthood), destroying the idols that were littering the land, cleaning up the “filthy” temple, and drawing the people back to God. He loved God, and prospered greatly while following the Lord. So well regarded, his life is charted in three Old Testament books. Read along to see the joy for the whole country that accompanied his faithfulness to God.
