Miraculous - Unlawful Discharge for Doing the Right Thing
22 days ago
23
David Alan Carmichael was unlawfully discharged from the Navy after making a request for religious accommodation. Tragedy turns to triumph as David seeks redress by administrative and judicial remedies. Miracles touched the lives of people involved in, and observing, the litigation. In the midst of oral argument in the Court of Federal Claims, divine intervention takes control of the U.S. Attorney's mouth. Precedent setting rulings and a Six-Figure judgement was eventually the outcome in the David versus Goliath case, David Alan Carmichael v. United States, 298 F.3d 1367 (Fed. Cir. 2002); and 66 Fed. Cl. 115 (2005); and 80 Fed. Cl. 71 (2006). (See a copy of the six-figure check)
