SWEET GUM BALLS CAN BE USED TO MAKE A TEA OR TINCTURE THAT HAS ANTIVIRAL PROPERTIES, WHICH MAY HELP PREVENT SICKNESS OR TREAT THE FLU. THE SEEDS CONTAIN SHIKIMIC ACID, THE SAME INGREDIENT AS TAMIFLU, AND CAN BE PRESERVED BY CRUSHING THE GREEN PODS AND MAKING A TINCTURE.
