Cambridge Students and others pro Palestine protest: King's College - 11th/12th May 2024

I was out with a friend, hoping to photograph the Northern lights, and encountered this protest on the way home instead. I was told that I couldn't photograph or record people without their express permission. Some of the stewards in hi vis jackets had professionally embroidered patches on them saying 'I do not consent to being interviewed'. It is the first time I have seen such things at a public protest, but on the back was printed Faculty Observer, so maybe this is why.
I went back the next day to record it in daylight, and to speak to people about the protest, especially the Jewish protestors. However, that turned out not to be possible. I was told I needed to speak to the media spokesman at the "on-boarding tent", but he would not be there until later. When I returned that evening, the media spokesman told me I needed to send an email with all my details to book an appointment in advance, and they would organise someone willing to talk.
