....Weekly Garden Update....18/05/24

....start on the porch this week, and a little look at the plants we have around the van, then the kitchen garden, with onions, leeks, lettuce, radishes, mint, rocket, basil, oregano, radishes for seed, sage, fennel, more leeks (for seed), spinach, garlic, cucumbers and some potted herbs....onto the stage (in th middle of a big tidy up) where we have a blackbird on a nest (2nd one this year)....then down to the bottom beds, where there is cauliflower, beetroot and spinach, kale, cabbage and purple sprouting in the cage, the as yet uncovered polytunnel frame and the potatoes in bags on the other side of the path....over to the little greenhouse, outside there is rhubarb, a new apple tree and a currant bush in a pot, inside has tree spinach, lots of tomatoes, leeks, peppers and chillies then up the path to a new little bed for the squash and up the path again to the red onions (from sets) and the freshly planted white onions from our own seed....down to the baths where we have carrots, spring onions and dwarf beans, into the big greenhouse for more seedlings, parsnips, leeks, beetroot, white onions, chives and some lettuces on the bottom shelf....round the back the chard is going to seed and there is some space to plant out the tree spinach in a week or two....back to the porch and enjoying the sunshine....
