Rights groups warn of ethnic cleansing amid Sudan violence | DW News
People in Sudan are "trapped in an inferno of brutal violence." That's how the UN's humanitarian coordinator for the country has described the situation there, as fighting continues between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.
The violence is restricting the flow of humanitarian aid and there are growing concerns about atrocities taking place. An open source investigation from the non-profit Centre for Information Resilience says the RSF has been setting entire villages ablaze.
Rights groups are warning that the RSF attacks amount to ethnic cleansing and genocide in West Darfur. Our next report contains images some viewers may find disturbing.
