Trust and Verify | Tools to Confirm Online Info

Last week we had a flurry of people claiming that they didn't trust information that I provided, even though I provided the source and the ability to verify first hand. Post after post challenged me to produce fake sources that aren't how the information exists in the real world and one person after another turned to second hand, third party, non-authoritative resources who were more than happy to provide an opinion - but not one was willing to state their source or go on record.

I'm not anonymous, and I have a strong track record. But that doesn't mean that you should just blindly believe what I say. But you can't expect me to provide every possible resource, you aren't paying me to do that. So today we talk about how you can verify information you get online, and talk about why I'm a reasonably reliable source for information.
