Political chaos continues to escalate in the Philippines as leaders of the ruling alliance, President Marcos Junior and former president Rodrigo Duterte, remain at loggerheads. In the latest, the Philippines government says it is ready to use force to quell secession attempts. This was after Duterte threatened to separate some of the southern islands from the rest of the country. The alliance between Marcos Junior and Duterte is crumbling as the two remain split over constitutional amendments .
