X-Men '97 is the Best Marvel Has Done in YEARS, But No One Cares!

X-Men '97 just completed it's first season and by all accounts it's the best thing Marvel has done since Avengers: Endgame. That being said, no one is talking about it.

The success of one show, even attached to a big IP like X-Men, cannot make a difference for the sinking ship that is the MCU. This is the perfect example of how badly damaged the Disney brand has become. Years of subpar offerings have made it so normies have no faith that a show about the studio's most popular team will be worth their time.

Perhaps the low viewership can be chalked up to it being animated. Perhaps it can be because the now fired showrunner wanted to inject his personal politics into the story. Or perhaps Disney cannot get out of it's own way and the follow-up, live-action iteration is going to be a continuation of the M-She-U.

The Superhero trend is dead and we know who killed it.
