The state of California admitted that over the last 5 years they have spent an estimated $24 Billion dollars to help tackle the state’s homelessness crisis. Additionally they admit that they can’t really report on how the homeless have benefited in any substantial way since, according to one California Senator Dave Cortese, what they have presented is a “data desert” showing an unsettling lack of transparency at every level.
