Let's Get Some Brass Prepped For My Next Match!! Plus Range Practice!

Well, I had to change a few plans. Instead of getting to my range to work on some things Sunday, I got rained out and was able to start my brass prep.
I wanted to show the steps I go through and take you along with the process that has been working well for me so far.
Lots of work goes into this, but my results have been great so I think this is working well for me! If you want to know more about anything, please let me know and I'll be happy to share more details if I can. I enjoy this quite a bit. Taking individual components and turning them into something that performs very good and gets hits on targets!! Best feeling in the world!

I also show a little more detail about the rice cleaning brass process. I timed it and show the results at about 30 minutes, 3 hours, and then overnight at 16ish hours total. I think, if you are just wanting a decent shine, but good cleaning, 2 to 3 hours should do a pretty great job! Let me know if you want a more detailed look at this process and smaller time intervals.

I also was able to make it to my place Monday afternoon to work on my match flow for this Sunday. I think I can make this work for the stages they have planned. As long as my Kestrel and Vortex Fury binos stay linked, I can get the data displayed inside my binos and write it down real fast and get on my rifle and start engaging targets! I have a process down now to link the binos to the Kestrel right before I go up to start the stage. I think it will keep the connection while I range the targets, get my data, then I am done with them for the stage.

I found out the stages will be either:
1 position, 4 targets
2 positions, 2 targets
4 positions, 1 target

Knowing this, I think I should be able to get through the new stuff in this match. If I get first shot hits, I get 2 points and can move on to next target. 2nd shot is worth 1 point, then move on.

Wish me luck and stay tuned next week to find out how I did here!!
Thanks for watching and have yourself a great day and awesome weekend!!

This is a private range. All shooting is done in a safe, controlled environment with no people or dwellings within miles to be at risk.
