Protests on the campus of The University of California, Irvine (UCI or UC Irvine) which is a public land-grant research university in Irvine, California, United States.

Police moved in with riot gear, beating & arresting people & students who are peacefully protesting against the genocide that Israel is committing in Gaza.

Several people & students were beaten & arrested Wednesday May 15 2024 at UC Irvine as a pro-Palestinian protest took a tense turn, prompting a massive response from law enforcement. One woman who said she is a professor at UCI spoke to reporters as she was being escorted off the campus: "We cannot have a genocidal foreign policy in a democracy.”
