14.5.2024 The Barron River, Russett Park

Back in 2000 we drowned our car here...river in flood (before the current bridge), 8 o'clock at night...had to dive in and swim for it. Fortunately we'd been living there a few years and knew where the rocks were and which way the current went...it's looking quite different these days. Barry Hunter Senior would probably remember hahaha dripping wet white fella knocking on his door....
