Student Pilot lands plane without landing gear.

On September 9th 2018, 17 year old student pilot Maggie Taraska took off in a 1985 Piper PA-28-161 Warrior, registration N2496X, from Beverly Regional Airport (KBVY) in Essex County Massachusetts, for a student pilot solo cross-country flight.

During climb out, another pilot spotted the aircraft lose its right main landing gear strut, and notified tower of the emergency.
Maggie Taraska, bravely adjusted to the situation, and maintained incredible composure during the emergency.
With guidance from ATC, and several other pilots including her flight instructor, were able to make a successful emergency landing back onto the airfield.
Maggie landed safely, and unharmed.
