The Value Of Children In The Eyes Of God

In this lesson titled: The Value Of Children In The Eyes Of God ... I contrasted how the youth and children of this country and other countries are undervalued by many people by expressing the incredible value that children have in the eyes of God.

Psalm 127:3-5 says, "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate."

Here in this poetic passage… Children are compared to arrows in the hand of a warrior… Which are very important for a warrior to have in the conflict of battle… And… This passage teaches that the man who has many children is a happy man!

Proverbs 17:6 says, "Children's children are the crown of old men, And the glory of children is their father." From these passages and others throughout the Bible… We can see that children are spoken of in a positive light in the Scriptures. This is because they are so incredibly valuable!

Of course... Every human being is incredibly valuable because all humans are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26, 27) and have a soul that was placed in them by God (Zechariah 12:1) that will go on into eternity when this life is over.

In Mark 8:36, 37... Jesus revealed the incredible value of the human soul by asking two questions. In those verses... He said, "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?"

This lesson has three main areas of focus. In the first main area of focus... I began by expressing the purity and sinlessness of young children. I also discussed how followers of Christ who are adults are to mimic various qualities of children... And… Of course… I showed the love God has for children that we can read of in the Bible.

In the second main area of focus... I offered some Biblical advice and encouragement to the youth and children. This included me providing some Biblical tips for how to lead spiritually successful lives.

In the third main area of focus... I shifted my focus to parents, grandparents, and all Christian adults to provide them with some Biblical parenting advice and encouragement for adults in how we can and must help the youth in our own families, congregations, and communities. I also spent some time revealing and expressing some of the wicked things our children and youth are being exposed to and how we must be heavily involved in their lives to protect them from the evils of this world.

This lesson showcases the incredible value of children in the eyes of God! Let us who are Christian adults, parents, and grandparents invest in, encourage, teach and surround the youth with love!

This lesson may challenge what you currently believe... And that is okay! I do not want you nor anyone to take my words as the final authority... Because they are not the final authority!

God's word is the ultimate and final authority in all spiritual matters! I only want you and others to accept the words that I have spoken in this lesson if they line up with what the Bible teaches.

I invite you to put the words that I have spoken in this lesson to the test... Go and search the Scriptures for yourself... And see if what I have said is true. Always check and make sure that what I teach and what anyone else teaches lines up with what the Bible teaches!

Be like the noble Bereans who "received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so" (Acts 17:11). In 1 Thessalonians 5:21... Paul said, "Test all things; hold fast what is good."
