Cracks are reported in the ground in the municipality of Caxias do Sul after several earthquakes and heavy rains struck over the past 15 days.
The tremors were not caused by tectonic movements, but by the amount of precipitation that “softened” the soil and caused a landslide of geological faults in the hills.
