Bridesmaid has uninvited wedding guest eating out of her hand

A beautiful destination wedding in Mexico went perfectly, and completely according to plan. The sound of the waves lapping gently against the shore complemented the background music and the sky was a gorgeous blue. The weather was perfect and the vows were emotional. The guests and the wedding party were ecstatic and the couple could not have been happier. But one guest showed up completely uninvited. And he brought a few friends. These were wedding crashers the likes of which none of these guests had ever seen.

A large iguana heard the music and the guests arriving at the podium next to the shore and he decided that he wanted to attend the ceremony as well. The guests and the couple were delighted at the sight of him, happily basking on the stones in front of the steps. But it was clear that he was watching and waiting for something to happen. One of the lizards even climbed the stairs and watched the exchange of the vows and the sermon, quietly taking it all in.

Nobody could imagine what the iguanas were waiting for until after the vows were exchanged and the champagne was flowing. It was at that time that the rose petals were being tossed about on the ground where the bride would walk down the path.

As if the big lizard knew from previous experience that this was coming, he and a few other lizards sprang into action when the petals were tossed. He began hungrily gobbling the flowers up and suddenly the guests all figured out exactly why he had attended. Lizards have a voracious appetite for flower petals and most of the petals around the resort were just out of reach of the iguanas.

One of the bridesmaids, clearly an animal lover, was completely charmed by the biggest of the iguanas and she crouched down on the steps to call him over for a treat. She hand fed him the tasty morsels and he walked right up to her as if were completely tame. Perhaps this was not the first time that he had charmed a young lady, or even a bridesmaid. This continued until the lizard had his fill. The guests took pictures of the spectacle and laughed and pointed while all of this went on.

Even the bride and groom, as they walked down the steps to sign the register and have their first photos as a married couple taken, did not disturb the lizard. Both were amused by the funny creature and happy to have him take part. For many reasons, this was a day that they would cherish and remember forever and the unexpected guests were a little bonus.
