The Euphrates River, the longest river in Western Asia, is facing a reduction in water levels. The riverbanks are jointly possessed by Iraq, Syria, and Turkey, and its basin covers five countries with approximately 23 million residents. Regrettably, the current state of the river is cause for concern, as scientists are surprised by the rapidity of its recession.
