A documentary about the film my friend Dennis Hopper made in Peru: "The Last Movie" I interviewed a number of the film's survivors, including Paul Lewis, Phil Thomas, Satya de la Manitou, Tomas Milian, Don Gordon, Stewart Stern, and Henry Jaglom. (Originally I'd suggested to Dennis that I direct a documentary about The Last Movie and he direct one about Walker. "How much will they pay us?" he asked me. "Nothing" I replied. Dennis didn't make a film about Walker, but I did make this one.)
