Some papers to look at based on the discussion of efficiency with technique as well as how spinal flexion occurs no matter what:
- PMID: 33799053
- PMID: 35024210
- PMID: 34805121
- PMID: 31718474
- PMID: 34098325
- PMID: 20885195
- PMID: 30200300
- PMID: 32183616
- PMID: 25653899
- PMID: 21997449
- PMID: 19528856
- Improving the Deadlift: Understanding Biomechanical Constraints and Physiological Adaptations to Resistance Exercise
- Lumbar spine kinematics and kinetics during heavy barbell squat and
deadlift variations

Yes some of them have the same fearmongering dogma in them because the authors just can't cope with the fact that spinal flexion is going to occur when the hips flex since it is normal human movement and if they accept that then they can't scare people about NORMAL MOVEMENT and they wont be able to sell their stuff.
