US secretary of state Antony Blinken is warning thatan all out Israeli attack on the city of Rafah in southernGaza would provoke "anarchy" without eliminatingHamas.

It is his latest attempt at preventing Israel from carrying out a ground assault.

An Israeli bombardment in the eastern parts of Rafahhas already displaced tens of thousands of Palestinians.
