You’ve got to check out the Gion district – it’s like stepping back in time with all the geisha and their mysterious teahouses. Fushimi Inari Shrine is another must-see, with its endless rows of red torii gates that lead you up the mountain. If you can swing a reservation, Kokedera (the Moss Temple) is incredible, so peaceful and lush.

Don’t miss out on a kaiseki dinner – it's like art on a plate, and the tea ceremonies in the hidden temples are so serene. Kyoto is full of these little hidden gems and old traditions that make it feel really special. You’d love it!
