A Playing Card Slices Into The Magician's Arm

More and more these days we see magicians perform all kinds of gruesome spectacles on stage, from sawing a lady in half to a death-defying battle with a bunch of metal spikes. This effect isn't quite so heart-stopping, although it does leave an audience somewhat puzzled. The magician takes a playing card from a stack, and proceeds to 'saw' through his bare arm. The audience can see that the card appears to be embedded in the arm, before it is withdrawn and the arm is shown to be unscathed. Not quite a world-shattering illusion, but one worthy of some attention.
