The West is being held hostage - 西方国家被扣为人质

Here I talk about what I see as a clear and disturbing double standard that is being played out in all Western nations. What I would like to know is what you think is the cause of these problems, not the result?

It would be nice to listen to different perspectives.

I'm not sure if I can post a link here but you can watch the video here:

As an Englishman, I've watched with growing unease as the accusation of "racist" has become an increasingly powerful weapon in our political and cultural discourse. It's a charge that seems to be leveled almost exclusively at White people who express any kind of attachment to their identity, history, or interests as a group.

Just consider the treatment of Enoch Powell. Here was a man who served his country with distinction, a brilliant classical scholar and a visionary statesman. But thanks to his famous "Rivers of Blood" speech1 in 1968, in which he warned about the potential consequences of mass immigration, he's been effectively written out of respectable history. Today, he's remembered mostly as a racist bogeyman, a cautionary tale about the perils of "hate speech."

But was Powell really a racist? Or was he simply ahead of his time in recognizing the challenges that large-scale demographic change would pose to English identity and social cohesion? When you actually read his speech, it's striking how prescient it was. He foresaw a future in which native Britons would become strangers in their own land, in which our traditions and way of life would be eroded by the demands of multiculturalism.

Half a century later, it's clear that Powell's warnings were not heeded. Mass immigration, mostly from the former colonies, has transformed the face of England. In London, White Britons are already a minority2, and if current trends continue, the same will be true for the country as a whole within the lifetime of today's children3.

Of course, we're not supposed to talk about this. Any suggestion that this dramatic demographic shift might be anything other than an unmitigated good is met with cries of racism. The very idea that the White English have a legitimate ethnic and cultural identity, one that's worthy of preservation, is treated as a kind of thought crime.

It's a double standard that's impossible to ignore. Other groups in Britain are not just allowed but actively encouraged to celebrate their heritage and advocate for their interests. The Pakistani community, the Bangladeshi community, the Afro-Caribbean community - they all have a strong sense of identity and solidarity. They have their own advocacy groups, their own cultural festivals, their own media outlets. And good for them! They're doing what comes naturally to all people - looking out for their own.

But when White English people attempt to do the same, we're accused of racism and xenophobia. Any expression of our identity is seen as inherently exclusionary and oppressive. We're expected to celebrate every other culture, while actively suppressing our own.
