On 26 June 1963, almost 61 years ago, John F. Kennedy gave a legendary speech in front of the Town Hall in Schöneberg, then West Berlin's City Hall. To show his solidarity with the hard-pressed Berliners, he ended his speech with the legendary words 'Ich bin ein Berliner' ('I am a Berliner').

Today, the President of the Doctors' Appeal, Sven Román, gave a speech in Swedish and one in English in front of the same town hall, with the same message, on the occasion of the fact that, unfortunately, all citizens of the world have been living in very troubled times for more than four years.
