ISRAEL : Israeli ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan used a paper shredder to shred the UN charter in protest of the vote for a full membership of Palestine at the UN.

The General Assembly voted overwhelmingly in favor of Palestine membership: 143-9 with 25 abstentions.
