Gerard Croiset

Gerard Croiset was a gifted Dutch psychic and healer. His mentor, Professor W. H. C. Tenhaeff, called him a "paragnost," a word meaning "beyond knowledge". Placed in foster homes when he was 8, he lived with six different sets of foster parents. His memories of his days in an orphanage were probably the unhappiest of his life. He was unable to keep a steady job, went bankrupt when he tried to run his own grocery store, and in 1935, had a nervous breakdown. After the Nazis occupied Holland in May 1940, the Gestapo arrested him. But the one event that changed Gerard Croiset’s life occurred after the war in 1945 when he met Professor Tenhaeff. He suddenly realized that his extrasensory powers gave his life a new meaning and he volunteered his services to Professor Tenhaeff.
- Croiset assisted the police, not only in the Netherlands but in a half-dozen other countries, in solving baffling crimes.
- He helped hundreds of grateful parents by locating missing children, "the work which brought him the greatest satisfaction".
- He helped public officials to find lost documents, and assisted scholars in identifying historical manuscripts and artefacts.
- And Croiset was a healer able to diagnose illnesses.

BOOKS
Croiset the Clairvoyant by Jack Harrison Pollack. Pollack translated the accounts of Croiset’s work from Parapsychology Institute tape recordings, the Dutch Journal of Parapsychology (Tijdschrift voor Parapsychologie), Dr. Tenhaeff's ‘scholarly books’ and from police records throughout Holland and other European nations. Eight translators helped him ferret out this material from the Dutch, German, Italian, and Swedish languages.
