Our Church Needs to be Governed by God!

For various reasons, there is a mass exodus from the church today. Many churchgoers don't know why and can't explain their need for more, but as prophesied, a remnant would be extracted in the last days. It's becoming more obvious that The Holy Spirit is preparing the Bride for the days ahead. What has worked for the church in the past is not sufficient anymore. This is a new day for those who have truly picked up their cross and left it all behind for Jesus.

But one giant problem plaguing the Western Church is the contract of silence, better known as the 501(c)3. This contract prevents the church from speaking out against sin because the government, of course, ruled by Satan, has turned moral issues into judicial issues. The church sits in silence while sin is celebrated in America. If she speaks she loses her exemption, and this is a big problem for churches financially dependant on those exempt dollars. The seminaries keep pumping out the same model over and over. What must we do?

The church must be a full theocracy in order to flow in full power and authority Jesus bequeathed to her. Allowing the government to dictate what she can and cannot say greatly restricts her. She has allowed herself to become an institution, a machine with systems (many systems) in place. Although there are leaders in the modern church age who've have tried to reinvent the wheel they've only accomplished putting a new mask on the same model. Becoming culturally relevant with a modern flair in order to bring in the masses wasn't the answer.

The church in the book of Acts holds many answers we need to illuminate God's original organic model! Join me on today's episode of The Coffey Shop to further explore and discuss this topic as we navigate these choppy waters together.
