US envoy claims India buys Russian oil because… Washington wants it that way ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The US ambassador to India Eric Garcetti has made a bizarre statement that New Delhi has been buying so much Russian oil because that's exactly what Washington wanted. The gaffe also flies in the face of the West's own sanctions against Moscow, that actually aimed to strangle Russia's exports. This comes as India's imports of Russian oil have hit a nine-month high.
