A network of tunnels and ditches was used to bring water from the heart of the Kauai mountains to the thirsty sugar cane plantations. A section of this historic structure has been converted to recreational use and Kauai Backcountry has exclusive access to this area.

Kauai Waterfall Rappelling is a one of a kind experience, and it’ll bring you through the lush forest of the island. Your expedition takes you on Hule’ia River and it’s 241 acres of National Wildlife Refuge.

Experience the spectacular Kalihiwai Falls and the beautiful terrain on their pristine Princeville Ranch. You will have access to the top of Pu’u O’ Henui (a 500-foot gain), where there is panoramic views of the entire north shore.
