In my mind, the associative series was always the following: noisy rows of bazaars, blue domes of mosques, clothes of men and women - bright trousers and, of course, the obligatory veil. In a word - cartoon Aladdin. But all this was dispelled and broken. Everything was not the way I decided for myself and sealed it forever)))

And here I am in Iran. My entire stay was a complete destruction of my stereotypes, fears and, of course, myths that were gleaned from the media. There is no hostility here. There are no men with weapons. There are no women enslaved and dressed in all black. There is widespread cordiality, especially from the women who asked permission to take photos together and then exchanged contact information with us and hugged us when we parted. Personally, I asked myself to take a photo exclusively with a man. I really like this guy. Many residents of Iran spoke Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian, explaining that they studied in our former Soviet republics. There is an abundance of delicious food here: I’ll highlight baked vegetables and lamb meat for myself😍. There is not only desert, but also an abundance of greenery, mountains, waterfalls, sun and sea. And there is Persepolis. This is something that personally shocked me. And in the back of my mind the thought appeared that I vitally needed to see this again.

To sum it up: don’t be afraid to put aside your doubts. I traveled in a mini-group of 6 people, 5 of which were women. And it was absolutely safe. In the evening we went out into the city. Go for a walk or just go to the store. Not in a crowd. Two and even one. And it was exactly the same as if you were in your area.
