A federal report says the pilot of a business jet told investigators he didn't see a small plane taking off before the aircraft collided at a northeastern Indiana airport, killing both people aboard the smaller plane. The National Transportation Safety Board preliminary report says the jet's pilot said he didn't remember making a radio call announcing his landing approach to the Marion Municipal Airport. The single-propeller Cessna clipped the jet's tail section at the intersection of two runways. The April 2 crash killed pilot Kyle Hibst and passenger David Wittkamper. They were both from Elwood and members of the Pipe Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department. The jet's pilot and four passengers weren't injured.
