The roosters continue to destroy my watering cups, so I'm trying a new type of Vertical Nipple ( https://amzn.to/3ReQnOW ) to see if the chickens can finally figure these out.
This style has a long, unimpeded, striker that hangs straight down, that hopefully the chickens can figure out.
I've removed the watering cups, so now they have no choice but to learn how to use these.
In the few hours since I've installed these, I've seen a few pecks at them, and some of the chickens are going to where the watering cups were and hitting the horizontal nipples ( https://amzn.to/3RhKjVW )
I was hoping to do a follow up today, but it was time to let them graze before I could get any good video of them using the new nipples, so I'll post a follow up in a few days and let you know how they are working out.
