4. When Kumbhaka takes place after Puraka or Rechaka, then the shakti known as shanta is experienced and through that peace (the bhairava consciousness) is revealed.

How And Why?

The conscious mind connects with the soul but not the body. You become aware of you and that you exist. But you are not aware of your body. The lungs stop and all connection is lost to the body.

Results:
Peace, floating, weightlessness
